The OLYMPIC MAXIMUM is a semi-transparent stain that allows wood grain and texture to show through. This oil-based stain penetrates evenly to help strengthen and protect wood fibers. It provides a rich uniform color and is formulated with ultra-fine pigments to ensure brilliant clarity. This stain contains linseed oil and requires a mildewcide to be applied for maximum mold resistance. The stain has a nice consistency and spreads easily with a brush, roller or stain pad. We did notice some lightening in the color after a few weeks which is normal for any linseed-based oil-based stain.
